About PingEverything

PingEverything is an infrastructure blog by a working network and systems engineer: backup and recovery, network segmentation, monitoring and Active Directory.

Who writes this site

PingEverything is written by İlker Pehlivan, a network and systems engineer. Every article comes from hands-on work: real client environments, mostly small and mid-sized companies, and a lab of his own where configurations are built, broken and measured before they are written about.

The name is the habit the site is built on. When something breaks, you do not guess. You check each link in the chain, one at a time, until the broken one shows itself.

What you will find here

Guides on backup and recovery design, Windows Server and directory services, virtualization, network segmentation and monitoring. Each topic is a complete guide with deeper articles underneath it, so you can read the overview or go straight to the specific problem you have.

Where the articles come from

Some articles are written for this site. Others are adapted from guides İlker writes in Turkish for sercebilisim.com; he writes and reads those originals himself, and an adapted article says so and links to its Turkish original.

Translation and adaptation are done with AI. The technical substance stays the author’s: commands, figures, screenshots and links are checked against the original by automated comparison, and vendors, regulations and examples are changed for your market (GDPR, for instance, instead of Turkish data protection law).

No native speaker reviews the English, German or French text. If you find a language error or a sentence that reads oddly, please report it on the contact page.

How this site is written

Three rules govern everything published here:

  • No invented numbers. Figures are measured or they are left out.
  • No invented experience. If something has not been tested first-hand, the article says so.
  • No rewritten vendor copy. Product documentation is linked, not paraphrased.

How this site is funded

PingEverything shows advertising. Ads are labelled, kept out of the reading flow where possible, and never dressed up as content or navigation. Advertising has no influence on what is written or which products are mentioned.
