What data is collected

This site is static and does not ask you to create an account or submit personal data in order to read it. Server logs kept by the hosting provider may include IP address, user agent and requested URL.

Advertising and cookies

This site is funded by advertising supplied by Google. Advertising is not live yet; this section describes how it works once it is, and it is updated on the day that changes.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any non-essential cookie is set, and that choice can be changed at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.

You can opt out of personalised advertising:

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which articles are read. Measurement runs only after consent; until then, and if consent is refused, no analytics cookie is set. No profile is built to identify an individual reader, and the data is not used for advertising.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability regarding your personal data. Requests can be sent to the contact address above.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever the advertising or measurement setup changes. The date shown at the top of the page is the date of the last change.
