Why this page exists
A technical guide is only useful if you can trust that someone actually ran the commands in it. Machine-written text that nobody checked is spreading fast, and asking “did anyone test this?” before you follow a guide is a fair question. This page answers it before you have to ask.
Where the text comes from
The guides here start as articles İlker Pehlivan writes in Turkish for sercebilisim.com. He writes those originals and reads them himself. The commands, measurements and field notes in them come from his own work and his own lab.
The English, German and French text on this site is produced with AI. The AI never supplies measurements, command outputs or field experience; those come only from the author’s originals and lab. It does write explanations and references to standards or regulations, and it adapts the original for a new market under fixed rules:
- Vendors, regulations and examples are changed for your market (GDPR, for instance, instead of Turkey’s data protection law).
- Units, dates and number formats are converted.
- Every adaptation has to add something the original does not have, taken from the author’s unpublished lab measurements. Without that, it is not published.
An adapted article says so at the end and links to its Turkish original. A few early articles were written directly for this site, also with AI.
How the text is checked
Commands, outputs, figures, screenshots and links are compared with the Turkish original by automated checks, and language quality is checked by machine as well. The site’s build refuses to publish a page whose links, anchors or structure are broken.
What does not happen matters just as much: no native speaker reads the English, German or French text before it goes live, and the author does not read the translations. The last human step is the author’s decision to publish, based on the original he wrote and on the results of those checks.
If you find a sentence that reads wrong, or a mistake the checks missed, please say so on the contact page. It will be corrected in the article, and the update date will change so you can see that something moved.
Diagrams, outputs and code
Diagrams are drawn as SVG code with AI assistance and translated along with the text. Command outputs and packet captures are never generated: they are copied as they were recorded in the author’s lab, host names included.
The site’s code is written with AI assistance too. The author decides what gets built, the architecture and the technical budgets. Every change has to pass automated build checks and browser tests before it can go live, and publishing is always a step a person starts. How the site is put together is described in the colophon.
What is not left to AI
- Verification. A command output appears in an article only if the command was actually run.
- Experience. A field note describes something that happened. If it did not happen, it is not written.
- Numbers. A figure without a measurement or a source is not published.
- The decision to publish. Nothing goes live on its own.
Who is responsible
The author. Every sentence published here is his responsibility. “The AI wrote it” is not an excuse on this site.
